That's Pinteresting!

During the past week I recreated a lot of Pinterest stuff.

First, I made this recipe:

When he took this picture, Tony said, "Don't tilt your head like that, it makes you look like a valley girl..."  But since I am from the Salt Lake Valley, I guess I should look like a valley girl.  I mean, hello.  Obviously.  (I'm really good at talking like a valley girl, too.)

This recipe turned out pretty good, and it's supposed to be healthy - I think because they use alternative ingredients for what would be fatty ingredients.  But I couldn't find Italian turkey sausage, so I just used regular Italian sausage and that probably made it as fatty as it originally was.  Oh well.  It was spicy and since we both like spicy food, it was good.

And here are some Pinterest outfits I recreated:

I have really liked using Pinterest for outfit ideas because I don't feel that I'm naturally very creative at putting together cute outfits.  Pinterest helps me see new ideas with my old clothes, and sometimes it even helps me get dressed faster!  (PS - I know my outfit recreations are never as cute as the original, but at least I tried, okay?)

I tried to make this more maternity-friendly by moving the belt up above my belly.  I noticed after I took the picture that the band on my maternity jeans was peeking out so I ended up just switching into regular jeans and buttoning them low, but I didn't take another picture.  I wore this grocery shopping and just hanging out with Tony.

I copied this outfit for Tony's and my date night last weekend.  I even tried to tie black ribbon around my head so my hair would look like hers, but I never know how to pull off ribbons and headbands and stuff like that.  I like her sweater a lot better than mine, but I still think mine's pretty cute.

I really like the original Pinterest idea and I like my recreation of it, but I haven't actually worn this outfit yet.  I was thinking I'd wear it to church but then on Sunday I didn't want to wear it.  So maybe next week.  Or it might wait until I'm not pregnant anymore.  I'm just not sure how much I like wearing skirts above the pregnancy belly... then they just balloon out and make me feel fat.  It only looks cute if I keep my hand there so everyone knows it's a pregnant belly, and that would just be awkward if I walked around church all day with my hand there.  I really like her polka-dot turquoise belt... maybe I could find one at a thrift store someday.

This is what I did end up wearing to church last week.  In case you can't tell, I copied this from the girl in the upper right hand corner of that pin.  Yes, I know, I know, her outfit is much cuter than mine!  Yes, I'm jealous of her hotness.  But since I just ran to the computer and looked at that pin, and then ran to my closet and copied it as fast as I could, I put this outfit together in probably 3 minutes, which is record time for me!  It was really disappointing for my husband because normally he just loves waiting for me to try on ten different items of clothing and then get angry at all of them because they all look ugly.

That's it for now!  I still have some other Pinteresting ideas I'll probably be copying/recreating/making soon!

Oh wow! That looks delish! I've been trying a few recipes off of Pinterest, and will definitely add this to my list! And I love Tony's valley girl comment - I do the same thing! HAHAHA!
I absolutely love your recreations of the outfits! Sydney from the Daybook is one of my fave fashion gals to follow - she has fantastic ideas and I get a lot of great ideas from her too! :)
I love your outfit that you wore to church - the yellow with the grey is simply perfection! You look adorable!
